The national moon sighting committee is meeting in the evening to see the moon of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. The meeting will be held on Tuesday (April 9) at 6:30 pm (after Maghrib prayer) in the meeting room of the Islamic Foundation.
Sayla Sharmin, public relations officer of Islamic Foundation, said that the National Moon Sighting Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM or after Maghrib at the meeting room of Islamic Foundation in Baitul Mukarram.
The meeting will be presided over by the chairman of the committee and the state minister for religious affairs. Faridul Haque Khan. In the meeting, the date of Eid-ul-Fitr celebration will be decided by reviewing the news of the sighting of the moon in the month of Shawwal of 1445 Hijri.
Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims, is celebrated on the 1st of Shawwal after a month of Ramadan fasting. Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday (April 10) if the Shawwal moon is seen in the sky on Tuesday. If the moon is not seen anywhere, the 30th day of Ramadan will be completed on Wednesday. In that case Eid will be celebrated on Thursday (April 11).

The Islamic Foundation requested to inform the Executive Officer (UNO).
It should be noted that no moon was seen in any Asian country including Saudi Arabia, India-Pakistan on Monday. Countries have decided to observe 30 Ramadans. Eid will be celebrated in these countries on Wednesday.
