The police officer who grabbed the student's face was fired

A police inspector working at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Shahbagh police station caught a student's face during the anti-caste quota reform movement across the country. Arshad Hossain has been suspended.

Monday (August 19) DMP Commissioner. He was dismissed by an office order signed by Mainul Hasan.

According to DMP, inspector Arshad Hossain grabbed the face of Nahidul Islam, a student of political science department of Dhaka's New Model Degree College, during the 'March for Justice' program of the anti-discrimination student movement on July 31. As a result of his unprofessional actions, the image of the police has been tarnished and the public has a negative perception of the police activities, as a result of which he was dismissed.

DMP also said that there are many other complaints against the police inspector Arshad Hossain apart from squeezing the face of the student.

He also termed the agitating students as Jamaat-shibir. At that time, the video of the students spread through social media.
