Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to reduce the price of gold again. As a result of price reduction, the price of a 22 carat gold bar will be 1 lakh 34 thousand 509 taka. Which today was one lakh 36 thousand 189 taka. That means 1 thousand 680 taka has decreased per month.
Bajus informed this information in a circular on Thursday (November 14) evening.
According to the notification, the price of acid gold (pure gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation. The new prices will be effective from Friday (November 15).
According to the new prices, per bhari (11.664 grams) of 22 carat gold will cost Tk 1 lakh 34 thousand 509. Apart from this, 1 lakh 28 thousand 397 taka per 21 carat, 1 lakh 10 thousand 62 taka per 18 carat and 90 thousand 233 taka per traditional method gold price has been fixed.
Earlier, Bajus last adjusted the price of gold in the domestic market on November 12. At that time, the organization reduced the price by 2 thousand 519 taka to 1 lakh 36 thousand 189 taka for a 22 carat gold bar. Apart from this, the price of gold was fixed at Tk 1 lakh 29 thousand 995 per 21 carat, Tk 111 thousand 426 per 18 carat and Tk 91 thousand 411 per traditional method. Which came into effect from 13 November.
Although the price of gold has been reduced, the price of silver remains unchanged in the country's market. A 22 carat piece of silver is being sold for Tk 2,578 in the country. Apart from this, 21 carat silver is sold at Tk 2,449, 18 carat at Tk 2,111 and traditional silver at Tk 1,586.
