A private car was overturned by a Kamalapur-bound train at the Moghbazar rail crossing area of the capital. However, realizing the danger, the driver got down. As a result, no loss of life occurred.
The accident happened on Sunday (December 1) evening.
According to witnesses and police, the private car was stuck at the crossing due to traffic jam around 6:30. When the Kamalapur-bound train arrived, the lineman threw down the barrier. Due to the traffic jam, the private car could not move forward or backward. At that time, the driver saw the train and got out of the car and moved to a safe position. There were no other passengers in the car. Later, when the train hit the car, several other vehicles around the car were damaged.
According to the police, there were no casualties in the whole incident. After the incident, the other cars were able to leave, but the private car was badly damaged, so the car was removed by a wrecker and taken to the police station.
