The school is on holiday but the student did not return home

A student died in a road accident in front of Fulbaria School in Mymensingh. The deceased student Tabassum Akhter Tanisha (1) is a first class student of Baruka Bazar Government Primary School in the upazila. She is a resident of the same village and the daughter of local Tara Mia.

The accident took place on Saturday (May 27) around 12 noon in front of the school on Fulbaria to Muktagachha road.

Locals said the student was crossing the road in front of the school on the way back home after class. At that time a speeding vehicle pressed him and fled. Locals later rescued him and took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (Mamek) and the duty doctor declared the child dead.

Fulbaria Police Station Officer -in -Charge Mohammad Ruknuzzaman said that no complaint was received on the matter.

Meanwhile, the death of Tanisha was killed in the death of the school teachers, classmates and locals. Many have expressed anger and anxiety over such heartbreaking and demanded effective measures to control the movement of speed in front of the school.
