The streets of the capital will be 'Shahidi March'

Today Thursday (September 5) marks one month of the historic mass uprising. The revolution of the students has seen the light at the cost of many lives. Anti-discrimination student movement will hold 'Shahidi March' program around the day. This announcement was made at a press conference organized at the Student-Teacher Auditorium (TSC) of Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday.

Roads through which 'Shahidi March' will pass

Sarjis Alam, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, said that the 'Martyrdom March' will start from Dhaka University's Raju sculpture at three o'clock on Thursday. After that, the program will end by going to Manik Mia Avenue and Sangsad Bhavan through Farmgate, Karwan Bazar, Shahbagh and Raju Bhaskarya via Neelkhet, Newmarket, Kalabagan, Mirpur Road to the Central Shaheed Minar.

Meanwhile, it is also known that a tour program will be started in divisional and district cities across the country from Friday (September 6) in memory of the martyrs killed in the student movement.

In the press conference, Sarjis Alam said, 'The martyrdom march will be held on the occasion of the one month anniversary of the students' uprising on Thursday. All over the country from the union to the metropolis – this program will be held by remembering the martyrs, the injured brothers who are crying in the hospital beds, the brothers who have lost hands, feet and eyes, and paying respect to them.
