Election Commission Secretary Jahangir Alam said that voting will be held in the third phase of the Sixth Upazila Parishad elections on May 29.
He informed the media after the 31st meeting of the commission at Agargaon election building in the capital on Wednesday (April 17).
Election Commission Secretary said, out of 112 upazilas, all activities will be completed through EVM in 21 centers. In the rest, votes will be taken through ballot papers.
Meanwhile, a total of 1 thousand 891 candidates have submitted their nomination papers to compete in the first phase of upazila elections to be held on May 8. Monday was the last day for filing nomination papers in 150 upazilas.
