The victim of the beating came to meet the lover

A young man named Habib Ullah, 25, has been beaten while meeting his lover in Lalpur in Natore.

The family members of the lover set fire to his motorcycle. The incident took place on Tuesday (February 7th) at Amarpur village of Durduria union of Lalpur upazila.

It is learned that the injured Habib Ullah is the son of Babar Ali of Durduria village of the same upazila and a student of Barendra University in Rajshahi.

Locals said a student of Rajshahi Women's College had a love affair with Habib Ullah. When he went to meet his lover early Tuesday evening, the girl's father, Shihab Uddin, beat her. At one point his motorcycle was set on fire.

However, Habib Ullah claimed that they were married a year and a half ago. But the girl's family did not accept it and forcibly took her wife.

Lalpur Police Station Officer -in -Charge (OC) Nuruzzaman Raju said that if any complaint is received, action will be taken subject to investigation.
