Eight sub-inspectors (SIs) of police who were training at Sarada Police Academy in Charghat, Rajshahi have been relieved. After 7 pm on Wednesday, they were given the exemption letter. At the same time, they have been verbally instructed to leave the academy by nine o'clock at night.

Earlier last Sunday evening, the eight SIs were given a show-cause notice (show cause notice) on the charge of shouting loudly in the field without obeying the instructions. The notice asks them to explain within three working days. The notice letter stated that if they are not satisfied with the explanation, they will be dismissed.

An exempted SI said that they were given the exemption letter in the evening. Also asked to leave the police academy by 9 pm. He said, at the moment he is packing his bags. He explained to the authorities the things given by the academy a while ago.
