Damaged by floods
The students of social work department of Titumir College have taken the initiative to distribute relief among the victims of severe floods in different parts of the country. At the same time, the social organization Football Club of the campus has collaborated in this activity. Social work students collected these donations online and offline.
On Tuesday (August 27) flood victims of the college gymnasium were seen working on packaging food packs of love. Meanwhile, various teachers of social work department applauded the students for this action.
The teachers said that they thanked the students for their hope in this ongoing flood situation in the country. Those who will go to the flood-affected area, should carefully go to the area and give relief. He also said to inform the teachers about any problem.
The students were informed that we will leave the relief vehicle for Feni at noon. Among the relief items, bandages, chiras, biscuits, saline, milk, various medicines, and water purifiers for purifying water were also given. They said that the amount of food they have with them can feed about 500 families.
Also by arranging Kupi Bati for the flood victims. Households without electricity can use it for lighting at night.
Incidentally, the total number of affected people in 11 districts affected by flood so far is 56 lakh 19 thousand 375 people. There are 12 lakh 7 thousand 429 water-logged families. 74 upazilas flooded and 541 affected unions/municipalities. A total of 27 people died in the flood. Among them, 10 died in Comilla, one in Feni, 5 in Chittagong, one in Khagrachari, 5 in Noakhali, one in Brahmanbaria, one in Laxmipur and three in Cox's Bazar.
