But now, we are about to get into the prime matchups, giving us some exciting football coming down the line. Week 2 of the college football season has some incredible games on the schedule for fans to enjoy.

But which are the best ones? Here are the five most must-watch games from this weekend’s slate of college football games.

5. Boise State @ No. 7 Oregon

On paper, this game seems like it shouldn’t be close. But Oregon didn’t look very good in their opening game against Idaho.

Boise State could exploit some things on defense from the Ducks, led by star running back Ashton Jeanty, who scored six touchdowns last week. The Ducks could be on upset alert heading into the game, even with it being played in Auzten.

4. Iowa State @ No. 21 Iowa

The battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy gets another go as these two teams face off. Rivalry games in college football are the lifeblood of the sport so we get to see one early on in the season.

Iowa will look to continue working on their new and improved offense after dropping 40 points against Illinois State last week. Iowa State took down North Dakota by a score of 21-3.

The Hawkeyes have won eight of the last 10 matchups with Iowa State.

3. No. 14 Tennesee @ No. 24 NC State

The SEC taking on the ACC is always something to watch and we get a glimpse of it this weekend. The Volunteers put the beatdown on Chattanooga in Week 1, winning 69-3.

They feel as if people are sleeping on them in the SEC and a matchup over a ranked ACC team could be just what they need. NC State comes in looking to build off their 38-21 win over Western Carolina last week.

Taking down a team from the SEC could put the Wolfpack on the map for the remainder of the season.

2. Colorado @ Nebraska

While neither of these teams is ranked, it should be a fun contest. Anytime Colorado takes the field, head coach Deion Sanders finds a way to make headlines.

Both teams are coming in off wins from last week and it will be another chance for Nebraska to show off their new starting quarterbacks. True freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola put on a show in his first game, throwing for 238 yards and two touchdowns.

A matchup between him and Colorado star quarterback Shedeur Sanders makes this game very interesting.

1. No. 3 Texas @ No. 10 Michigan

This is the easiest answer on this list but it still makes for a great matchup. Both teams are coming off an opening weekend win and will be looking to make a statement in this game.

Michigan took down Fresno State by a score of 30-10, while Texas obliterated Colorado State by a score of 52-0. This game has all the makings of a classic showdown in Ann Arbor, where the reigning National Champions will look to hold their ground.

This is the type of game that could help determine College Football Playoff seeding down the line, making it one of the biggest games on the schedule.
