Turning point of the six-point freedom struggle: Obaidul Quader

Obaidul Quader, Minister of Road Transport and Bridges and General Secretary of Awami League, said that the six points are the turning point of the freedom struggle. Those who do not follow the six points do not believe in the independence of Bangladesh.

Obaidul Quader said this to the journalists after paying tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Dhanmondi this Friday (June 7) morning.

He said, along with the call of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu for the implementation of six points, several labor leaders were killed in the June 7 strike. Six points are the milestones of freedom movement. East Bengal had no security in the Indo-Pak war in 1965. That is why the need for six points was more.

Kader raised the question whether there would have been a popular uprising in 1969 if there were no six points and said that the six points have changed the course of our history. After 75 June 7 and March 7 these days were banned. Those who ban, are involved in the killing of Bangabandhu family in 75. They didn't just kill Bangabandhu, they wanted to kill the spirit of our liberation war, our ideal of independence. That's why Bangabandhu along with Jai Bangla, 7th March and 7th June was exiled.
