Two dead bodies recovered from septic tank in Bogra

The fire service personnel recovered the bodies of two cleaners from the septic tank of the toilet of the residence in Shajahanpur of Bogra.

The incident took place at Sohrab Hossain's house in Agra Paschimpara village of Gohail Union of the upazila on Thursday afternoon. The deceased are Bimal Banshphore and Lathial Banshphore, residents of Sweeper Colony in Sadar.

Shajahanpur Civil Defense Fire Service leader Abdur Rahman said, we went to the spot after getting the news. There I found the dead bodies of two cleaners inside the septic tank. They were rescued and handed over to the police. They got into that tank without taking any safety measures. Initially, it is believed that they could not get out due to poisonous gas. The police sent the body to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SHJMEC) Hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Shajahanpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam said, the body has been sent to Shajimek Hospital morgue for post-mortem. Legal action is pending in this incident.
