Two madrasa students were killed in the bus crash


Two madrasa students were killed when they were hit by a bus in Chittagong's Fatikchari. The accident took place at the head of Kumbharpara ABC road on Chittagong-Khagrachari highway under Nazirhat municipality of upazila on Friday.

Abdur Rahman (17), a resident of Ward No. 6 of Nazirhat Municipality and Mostakim (14) of Kumbharpara area, died in this accident. Rahman used to study in Babunagar madrasa. And Mostakim has recently completed Quran Hifz from a local madrasah. They are about cousins.

According to eyewitness sources, three teenagers on a motorcycle were going from Imamnagar to Nazirhat on Friday. At around 5:30 in the afternoon they got on the highway at the head of ABC road. At that time, a bus coming from behind ran over the motorcycle carrying them.

Abdur Rahman died on the spot. Two others were taken to Phatikchari Upazila Health Complex with serious injuries. There he was sent to Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) hospital with first aid. Mostakim died on the way.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nazirhat Highway Police Station Anisur Rahman said that the local mob seized the bus. But the driver escaped. After the legal process, the body will be handed over to the family.
