Three BNP leaders have been expelled in two upazilas of Sunamganj district. They are, District Dirai Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Golap Miah and District Women's Dal President Phir Chowdhury and Shall Upazila BNP President Ganendra Chandra Sarkar have been expelled from BNP.
Sunamganj District BNP President Kalim Uddin Ahmad Milan confirmed the authenticity of this letter of the party decision signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday night.
It is mentioned in the letter that Ganendra Chandra Sarkar and Golap Mia are contesting for the post of Chairman in Dirai and Shalla Upazila Parishad elections respectively and Chich Chowdhury is contesting for the post of Vice Chairman in Dirai Upazila, defying the party decision. For disobeying the decision of the party, they were dismissed from all positions including primary membership.
Copy of the letter signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, organizing secretary of Sylhet division of the party. Shakhawat Hasan Jiban, along with organizing secretary district BNP president Kalim Uddin Ahmad Milan and general secretary Nurul Islam Nurul have also been sent.
