The ruling Awami League is closely monitoring the upazila elections, party general secretary Obaidul Quader said, timely action will be taken if organizational instructions are disobeyed.
He said this while talking to the media after the meeting of the Awami League Executive Committee at Ganobhaban, the official residence of the Prime Minister on Tuesday (April 30).
At that time, Obaidul Quader said that it has been decided to organize the founding anniversary of Awami League in a grand manner this year.
Apart from this, there have been discussions on the celebration of various days including A. League president Sheikh Hasina's homecoming day on May 17, Sheikh Kamal's birthday, August 15, he said.
