Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Secretary General and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Parwar said that the administration should be patient until the ghosts of the Awami government sitting in the holes of the administration are removed. We want to cooperate with the interim government until the country is rebuilt. For 16 years, the Awami dictatorship government has carried out disappearances, murders, false cases and torture on the people of the country.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a ceremony in memory of the martyrs in the anti-discrimination student movement organized by Zilla Jamaat at Satkhira Shaheed Abdur Razzak Park on Saturday (August 24) morning.
Professor Mia Golam Parwar said, those who gave their lives as martyrs to liberate the country and town are our national heroes. Now these martyrs should be declared as heroes by the state. We are making that demand on behalf of Jamaat. We firmly believe that the murderers must be tried in Bangladesh. Those who have carried out genocide in the movement of students will be judged on the soil of this country. The interim government has already started the judicial process, we applaud them. The international court has already filed a case in the name of the mass murderer Sheikh Hasina and all her associates. During the mass uprising, the killers of the students should be brought back to the country and brought to justice.
He said that even after the oppression, Jamaat leaders kissed the hanging rope and did not compromise with the autocratic Awami League, while the autocratic Sheikh Hasina fled the country. The autocrats used the Hindu brothers to create a volatile environment, but the country's students have thwarted it. The leaders and activists of Jamaat and Shibir have worked to build a peaceful Bangladesh by guarding the temples and lands of the Hindu brothers. But in the past days, it is the people of Awami League who have occupied the houses and lands of Hindu brothers, looted and vandalized temples and tortured them.
Satkhira District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Mahaddis Rabiul Bashar spoke under the chairmanship of Jamaat Central Organizing Secretary Mohaddes Abdul Khalek, former Amir of Khulna Metropolitan Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Jamaat Central Working Council Member Maulana Khalilur Rahman Madani, Khulna Region Member Master Shafiqul Alam, Khulna District Ameer Imran Hussain, Former Secretary of District Jamaat Sheikh Nurul Huda, President of District Islamic Student Camp Imamul Islam, City President Abdullah Al Mamun. Maulana Azizur Rahman, Secretary of the District Jamaat, conducted the entire program.
At this time, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami paid Tk 1 lakh to the families of four martyrs, including Shaheed Asif of Satkhira, who died in the anti-discrimination student movement.
