West Bengal is shaking with the slogan of Bangladesh

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's party Trinamool Congress's slogan in the 2021 assembly elections in West Bengal, India was 'Khela Hobe'. Another slogan was 'Joy Bangla'. Both slogans are of Bangladesh. BJP's counter in that election was 'Sonar Bangla'. Bangladesh has a close relationship with that phrase.

As the state of West Bengal erupted in protests over the rape and murder of a doctor at the RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, the CPM-BJP was seen chanting 'Dafa one demand one, Chief Minister's resignation.' With the same slogan in front, recently there has been a change of power in the student movement in Bangladesh.

Sheikh Hasina has to resign from the post of Prime Minister and leave Bangladesh to live in the 'safe haven' of India. But in addition to this, the discussion that has started in the politics of West Bengal is, in recent times, is the slogan of Bangladesh showing power in the politics of Bengal? Bangladesh's slogan is not too much 'Jhanj' or the creation of new slogans in the political traditions of Bengal has caught rust?

From political leaders to academics, there are different opinions and interpretations. But one thing everyone agrees on is the 'Westernisation' of Bangladesh's slogans over the past few years. And it is becoming popular.

Political slogans have a long history in the political movement of the state. It has been going on since before independence. The slogans given by West Bengal and Bengalis were transformed into national level slogans. All those slogans have been blacked out. In post-independence North West Bengal too, the trend continued year after year.

During the Tevaga movement the slogan 'Langal Jaar, Zamin Tar' practically set fire to the peasant movement. In the 60s and 70s, the politics of the Left was mainly land-centric. That slogan was back then too. Tevaga's slogan was used in the program to seize 'benami land' from the hands of jotdar zamindars and distribute it among sharecroppers. Various slogans of the Chinese Communist Party were again Bengalized in the Naxalbari movement. 'The barrel of the gun is the source of power' or the line of the Chinese revolution 'surround the city with the village' was used as a slogan. 'China's chairman, our chairman' was written on the wall.
