Indian pacer Mohammad Shami last played in 2023 ODI World Cup. He suffered an ankle injury in the final. He did not play after that. However, he has recovered from the injury. He was rumored to play in the Test series starting next month against Bangladesh. But today Sunday (August 18) from the reports published in some Indian media, it is known that Shami will not play in the series against Bangladesh.

The star pacer will play in Ranji Trophy in 2024-2025 season before. He will take the field in the Ranji Trophy from October 11. After that, he will play from India's New Zealand series. The New Zealand team will tour India from October 16 to November 5. Shami is currently preparing himself at the National Cricket Academy.
