Will the Chiefs Win a Third Super Bowl in a Row? Paul Rudd Weighs In

Will the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl for a third year in a row? According to die-hard Chiefs fan Paul Rudd, it might be tight.

Actor and comedian Rudd recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show, where he was quizzed by Eisen about the Chiefs’ potential to win Super Bowl LIX and therefore take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy for a third year in a row.

While initially loathe to answer the question due to being superstitious, Rudd finally reasoned that while the Chiefs certainly have the star power, getting a third Super Bowl win across the line would be hugely challenging.

“I love the Chiefs. I think they’ve got all of the pieces there to make it happen but I know how challenging that will be. Three in a row—if it wasn’t challenging it would have been done already,” Rudd told the radio host and sports commentator.

In reply, Eisen joked: “Do you feel like those words just jinxed the Kansas City Chiefs? Like they were going to win a third in a row but you just saying that actually has taken that off the table? Part of you think that now Paul, for real?”

“How dare you,” Rudd fired back before clarifying he didn’t think his words would have jinxed the Chiefs at all.

Rudd was recently announced as the narrator for tonight’s America’s Game: 2023 Kansas City Chiefs special. The program will air tonight at 8pm ET on NFL Network and will tell the story of the Chiefs becoming Super Bowl LVIII champions.

The episode will also feature team thoughts on Taylor Swift’s appearances at various Chiefs games over the 2023 season. In a preview clip from the episode, quarterback Patrick Mahomes spoke about Swift’s first appearance at Arrowhead Stadium, where she witnessed the Chiefs’ victory over the Chicago Bears in week three.

“I became aware of her being at the game that week; [Travis Kelce] said she was thinking about coming and being at the game… He’s a guy that is full of life and loves to go out there and enjoy it. That’s why it didn’t surprise anybody on the team; people act like it was a distraction, and I was like, ‘No, this is just Travis; that’s how he always is,'” Mahomes said.

Swift is dating Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce.
