Woman Unknowingly Captures Dachshund Enjoying His ‘Last Ever’ Pup Cup

Treating dogs to a special pup cup, or “puppuccino,” has become a coveted tradition over the past few years, and one owner is holding on to these memories after a tragic incident.

TikTok user @allie_athome told Newsweek via TikTok that her miniature dachshund loved pup cups. Baz would sit on her lap as she ordered at the window. Then, when the treat was in her hand, he would follow it closely to the next seat to enjoy it.

However, the clip she filmed unknowingly became the last time they would share these pup cup dates together. The text on the July 15 TikTok video says that if she knew what would happen later that day, she would’ve ordered a dozen pup cups for him.

“He passed away about six hours later in a heartbreaking accident,” she said.

The TikTok clip has received over 151,500 views and 5,188 likes. Touched by the outpouring of love and support from viewers, the owner felt comfortable enough to open up and explain the tragedy.

In a follow-up video posted the next day, she said she was leaving to drop off her son at a friend’s house when their German shepherd started chasing the car down the street, a habit of his. But what she didn’t realize was that Baz also ran after them.

About halfway down the road, she turned the car around to get the German shepherd inside. The next thing she saw was Baz lying in the middle of the street.

“I guess he had gotten up under my car, and I did not realize he was there,” she said in the video, before trailing off for viewers to imagine what happened in the horrible accident.

The owner and her family only had less than a year with Baz, but in that far too short amount of time he made an impact on them. They brought him home in October, and he would’ve turned 1 in August. She called him “the most perfect dog.” And if the pup cup tradition was an indication of their relationship, he was clearly loved.

She said she keeps telling herself that Baz is now having all the pup cups his heart desires while in doggy heaven.
