Women's T20 World Cup is not being held in Bangladesh

Finally, the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup is being moved from Bangladesh. It will be held in the United Arab Emirates.

This decision was made in a virtual board meeting of the ICC on Tuesday, according to cricket-based website Cricbuzz.

Although the interim government and army of Bangladesh have assured all kinds of security, Australian captain Alyssa Healy said on August 19 that it would be wrong to organize the World Cup in Dhaka and Sylhet under such circumstances. The day after the Australian captain's comment, it is known that the Women's Twenty20 World Cup is going to be held in the United Arab Emirates, not Bangladesh.

Board directors and officials of different countries have given their opinions in the ICC board meeting to decide on organizing the 20-over World Cup. Considering the overall situation, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) agreed to move the World Cup from Bangladesh. Although the World Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh will have the right to host it. This was reported by Cricbuzz.

In the last few days in Bangladesh, there was doubt about the organization of this World Cup. Considering the overall situation, countries like India, Australia, England and New Zealand have banned travel to Bangladesh. As a result of such travel restrictions, there is concern about hosting the World Cup in Bangladesh.

Incidentally, the Women's T20 World Cup was supposed to be held in Bangladesh in October this year.
