Workshop on 'Fisheries Research in Building Smart Bangladesh' at BFRI

Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute (BFRI) organized a workshop titled 'Fisheries Research in Building Smart Bangladesh'. Syed Mahmud Belal Haider, Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock was present as the chief guest at the workshop at the BFRI Auditorium in Mymensingh on Friday (May 24).

He said, scientists should spread the technology developed through research at the grass root level. In order to ensure more production of fish in a small area at a low cost, modern technology must be approached. Then it will be possible to ensure Smart Bangladesh.

The workshop was chaired by the director general of BFRI. Md. Zulfikar Ali. Director of the Institute (Administration and Finance) Dr. Anuradha is polite. Additional Secretary of the Ministry was present as a special guest. Abdul Qayyum. Honorable professor of the Faculty of Fisheries Dr. Muhammad Mahfuzul Haque and Deputy Director of Fisheries Department. Nazrul Islam. The article was presented by the senior scientific officer of the institute. Md. Mashiur Rahman.

The workshop was attended by university teachers, institute scientists and officers, Fisheries Department officials, representatives of various government and non-governmental organizations, representatives of fishermen and fishermen communities and journalists from print and electronic media.
