5 demands including a request for compensation of Tk 1 crore to the victims of the anti-discrimination student movement


The injured have made five requests, including a one-time payment of one crore rupees to their families, along with giving them the status of martyrs by publishing the full list of those killed in the anti-discrimination student movement.

In a press conference at the National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute (NITOR) in the capital on Wednesday (September 4), these requests were made on behalf of the injured in the anti-discrimination student movement by the students of Government Titumir College. Salman Hussain

Student Salman said, we are dying. save us At least 100 of the injured are still receiving treatment in the Paralympic Hospital. Many of our brothers will be crippled if better treatment is not provided quickly. I request the government to look at us.

In the press conference, the injured in the anti-discrimination student movement made five requests to the government.

They are –

• Subject to a fair investigation of all incidents of loss of life in the anti-discrimination student movement, a full list should be published and they should be given the status of martyrs and a one-time compensation of one crore rupees should be given to the families of all the victims.

• Complete list of all injured should be released as soon as possible subject to fair investigation and state honors should be given to them.

• Free treatment is being given to the injured as per the government announcement. But there are many patients, whose condition is critical, they need to be sent abroad for better treatment very soon.

• One-time compensation and long-term rehabilitation should be provided to those injured in the agitation.

• The government should bear all the educational expenses of the injured students and special consideration should be given to the injured students in taking the examination.

From July 16 to August 6, more than 750 people were killed in the movement demanding government job quota reform, according to media reports, and hundreds of thousands of people were injured. According to the Human Rights Support Society, 70 percent of those killed were shot.
