Stopping auto-rickshaws taking away food from the poor: Rizvi

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that the government is running a steam roller on the autorickshaw drivers. He said that the food of the poor has been taken away through the auto-rickshaw ban.

He made this comment at the human chain organized by the Labor Party at the National Press Club on Monday morning. He said that the government is oppressing the poor completely immorally.

The BNP leader alleged that the leaders and workers of the government party regularly extorted money from the poor auto-rickshaw drivers and made them miserable. The government has looted every sector of the country.

He said to Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, this battery operated rickshaw must have been imported from which country, who gave the license to import it? I have seen these battery operated vehicles plying in every city including Dhaka. Who gave them this road permission? Your government has given it. Those who imported these are Awami League people. They are Awami League businessmen. And those who are driving for rent was the fault? Your stomach will be full and your stomach will be full and you still need money. Still they can't run like this. Your administration has to pay people, local Jubo League-Chhatra League has to pay subscription. Even after giving so much money, they somehow survive with whatever they earn. And you run steam roller on them. The sword of Awami League is hanging over their heads.

Mentioning that the stock market has collapsed again, this spokesperson of BNP said, 'Young educated youth and people with low income invest in the stock market, the stock market is also falling again and again, the stock market is not able to stand up from that fall. Young people are unemployed. They have now become self-sufficient.
