Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to Patuakhali on Thursday (May 30) to visit the cyclone affected areas. This information was informed by the press wing of the Prime Minister on Wednesday (May 29).
A notification sent from the press wing said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to Kalapara Upazila of Patuakhali on Thursday with the aim of inspecting the area affected by Cyclone Remal and distributing relief to the affected people.
Earlier on Tuesday (May 28) at noon at Awami League President's political office in Dhanmondi, Awami League General Secretary and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit the areas affected by Cyclone Remal. He can go to Patuakhali on the first day.
Incidentally, Cyclone Remal started crossing West Bengal coast and Bangladesh's Khepupara coast from south-west direction of Mongla on Sunday (May 26) night. Bangladesh crossed the border by Tuesday (May 28) afternoon.
