24 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on a part of a Palestinian refugee camp in Gaza. Among them, at least 12 Palestinians were killed by Israeli airstrikes in the Rafah city of the valley. In addition, 12 people were killed in three separate attacks in Gaza. Among the dead are women and children. Reuters and Al Jazeera reported this information in separate reports on Friday (May 31).

According to reports, Israeli forces killed at least 12 Palestinians in an airstrike in southern Gaza's Rafah on Thursday (May 30), according to Gaza medics. Besides, fighting is going on in several other areas of this coastal area.

Israel launched the attack in Rafah a day after announcing it had taken control of a buffer zone along the nearby border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt. This buffer zone along the border is known as the Philadelphia Corridor, and by occupying it, Israel has gained effective authority and control over the entire land border of the Palestinian territories.

The Israeli attack has already started the devastation in this Gaza city. Besides, the attack has displaced most of the people in the territory and there has also been a humanitarian disaster and widespread hunger. Israel claims it must eliminate the last remaining Hamas battalions in Rafah.

Israel has continued its brutal attacks on the besieged territory, despite a UN Security Council resolution essentially demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera reported that Israeli military forces attacked the home of the Al-Hur family in the Bureij refugee camp, killing at least four people, local media reported.

In addition, the Israeli military bombed the house of the Al-Sous family in the Bureij refugee camp, killing five people, including women and children. Later, the death toll in the attack rose to 7.

It should be noted that since the unprecedented cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7, Israel has been carrying out continuous air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip.
