Three years ago, people flocked to the funeral of the deceased constable Monirul

The funeral and burial of police constable Monirul Islam, who was shot dead by his colleague in front of the Palestine Embassy in Dhaka, has been completed. His funeral was held at Bishnupur village of Atpara upazila at 10 am on Monday. People flocked to it.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Haji Md. was present at the funeral of Monirul Islam. Khairul Islam and Vice Chairman Mizanur Rahman Khan Nandan. Later, Monirul Islam was buried in the family graveyard of Bishnupur village.

Monirul is the son of late Shamsul Haque, a brave freedom fighter of Bishnupur village. The Moniruls are three brothers and three sisters. Monirul is the youngest of all.

According to family members, Monirul passed SSC from Anjuman Government High School in Netrakona in 2014. Later he got admitted in a private polytechnic institute in Mymensingh and studied till 4th semester. He joined the police at the end of 2016.

Monirul got married three years ago in Purbadhala upazila of the district. His wife's name is Tanya Akhter Tanvi. They have a two-year-old son named Taki.

His colleague Monirul Islam was shot dead by police constable Kawshar Ali in front of the Palestinian embassy in Gulshan-Baridhara diplomatic area of ​​the capital last Saturday between 12:15 and 12:50. Sajjad Hossain, the driver of the Japanese embassy, ​​was injured in the shooting.
