At least 32 children died in violence in Bangladesh: UNICEF

At least 32 children have died in recent violence in Bangladesh, UNICEF said.

Concerned about the death of children, UNICEF South Asia Regional Director Sanjay Wijesekera said that children must be protected at all times. It is everyone's responsibility.

Sanjay Wijesekera said this in a statement published on the UNICEF website on Friday (August 2).

At least 32 children were killed during protests in July, UNICEF confirmed. Many children were injured and many were detained. These deaths of children are a terrible loss. UNICEF condemns all forms of violence.

UNICEF has welcomed the decision to open primary schools in various regions of Bangladesh from August 4. But even then about 1 crore 55 lakh students will not be able to start their studies. The longer children, especially girls, are out of school, the less likely they are to return to school. Their future will be at risk.
