Referring to the July National Charter (Constitution Reform) implementation order as illegal, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said that they did not say much for the sake of the election at that time. They compromised on everything and signed the National Charter in July if the election was not allowed on the 'pretext' of reforms.

The Home Minister said these things while discussing the motion of thanks on the President's speech in the National Assembly on Thursday (April 30).

Salahuddin Ahmed, who led the BNP in the discussion of the National Consensus Commission on reforms, said, 'Some of my elder brothers of white hair intellectuals landed from abroad for reforms. When they landed in the country with baskets on their heads and some miraculous reforms, then the National Charter was formulated this July while we were discussing in the Reforms Commission.

The first decision in the Consensus Commission deliberations was on the amendment of Article 70 of the Constitution. Referring to that, Salahuddin Ahmad said, it is said that there was no issue of 'note of dissent'. On the day of the decision on Article 70, the July Charter will be drafted with a Note of Dissent. The July Charter was signed with the Note of Dissent.

Addressing the opposition party, the home minister said, 'You have signed it. We did too. Let's implement that July charter.'

The Home Minister said that the interim government was supported by both parties inside and outside. A group was inside the Yamuna. Another group was 'on the banks of the Yamuna'. They can now say, 'What a beautiful day!'

Following the signing of the July Charter, the July Charter Implementation Order was issued. Claiming it as an illegal and unconstitutional order, Salahuddin Ahmad said that after the issuance of this order, the Standing Committee of BNP held a press conference in Gulshan and presented its position. They said that the BNP and the parties in simultaneous movement with the BNP are not willing to accept anything other than the July National Charter. It has records, videos.

The Home Minister said, 'We will not be able to go far if the ugly and tainted trend of linking the Prime Minister with his wife and daughter continues in the name of freedom. Our culture will be destroyed.'

Addressing the leaders of Jatiya Nagrik Party-NCP, the Home Minister said, 'I will tell my new friends, a party has been exhausted while selling the spirit of the 1970s. forced to flee. Let us all not sell the spirit of July as a political business. July belongs to all of us.'

Referring to the fact that the opposition has formed a shadow cabinet, the home minister said, 'I have heard that you have formed a shadow cabinet. This has two benefits.
