Papon will be in BCB emergency meeting, big decision is coming

Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus Chowdhury resigned from the post of BCB director on Monday (August 19). Nazmul Hasan Papon has also agreed to leave the post of BCB president. In such a situation, an emergency meeting has been called in BCB.

An emergency meeting will be held at BCB tomorrow, Wednesday (August 21). The current president Nazmul Hasan Papon will join this meeting online.

After the fall of the Awami League government, Papon was no longer seen in public. It is known that he is currently staying outside the country. He also said that he is willing to resign from the post of BCB chief. In view of that, this emergency meeting of BCB has been called. Papon's attendance at this meeting has been confirmed online.

This meeting will be held at the National Sports Council with the current BCB officials. Papon can announce his resignation in this meeting.

Meanwhile, Asif Mahmud, the interim government's youth and sports advisor, visited the BCB office for the first time on Monday. Regarding Papon's resignation, he told the reporters present, 'I have seen the resignation of BCB president and directors in the media. No official confirmation or statement yet. We are discussing this with various stakeholders, cricket organizers, former cricketers; To reach a good solution to this issue.'

After Papon's resignation, a new interim committee will be formed in the BCB. However, if the government or a third party intervenes to form a new committee, there may be a ban on Bangladesh cricket. Therefore, the sports advisor advises to do everything according to the ICC rules.
