Common people deprived of civic services in Pancha Patta Union Parishad

Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government fell in the face of student movement. Since that fall, 2 of the 10 Union Parishad chairmen of Rajbari's Pangsha Upazila have not been coming to the office of the Union Parishad until today. The 2 unions are Patta Union and Machpara Union Parishad of the upazila.

On Tuesday (August 20), the Union Parishad Secretary and members of the Union Parishad were seen in the Patta Union Parishad, but the office of the Chairman of the Union Parishad, Abdur Rob Biswas Muna, was locked. Many locals have come to provide services, some for citizenship certificate, some for verification, some for birth certificate, but people are returning with anger and frustration as the chairman did not come to the office.

Secretary of Union Parishad Muhammad Ramzan Ali said that after 5th the Chairman did not come to the Union Parishad, the common people are suffering, we are not able to do many things, the Union Parishad actually needs the chairman for every task, so the common people are deprived of services.

Several UP members said that the chairman has discriminated against the UP members of our council and misbehaved with the local people. That is why he is not coming to the union council because of fear. He has distributed, managed the Union Parishad with some of his brokers, had to take money and card through them, because of this he is not coming to the Union Parishad.
