Humor in the Indian media about flood-hit Bangladeshis

Incessant rains and opening of Bharat Dam have caused severe flooding in nine districts of the country. Millions of people's homes and crops were submerged in the flood water. A humanitarian disaster has been created in those areas. But in all this, the Indian media 'G-24 hours' made a shameless joke about the Bangladeshi flood victims. They published the news by mocking the miseries of Bangladeshis. The headline reads, “India released water! Bangladesh's bitter plea…”

Meanwhile, netizens expressed their anger on social media after seeing such headlines like 'G-24 hours' in the media. Many of them are claiming that India deliberately drowned Bangladeshis in flood water. They opened the dam in the dark of night without any prior warning.

India's Tripura has been experiencing unusual rains for the past two days. It has caused floods in almost all parts of the state. Dimbu reservoir dam built on Gomti river was opened on Tuesday night to prevent flood water from overflowing. After the opening of the dam, water started flowing through Comilla, Bangladesh. In addition, the entire Feni district was submerged in flood water within a short period of time. Due to the floods, the country with Feni is practically cut off. Road communication and electricity supply system are closed there.
