208 are primary head teachers from 40th BCS

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has appointed 208 people on a temporary basis for vacant posts of head teachers of upazila or thana-based government primary schools.

This appointment is made as Head Teacher (Untrained) Non-Cadre II Class of Government Primary School for the post of Non-Cadre from among the candidates who have passed 40th BCS Examination but are not recommended for cadre post due to shortage of posts.

In the light of the recommendation of the Ministry of Public Administration, this appointment has been given on a temporary basis for vacant posts. On August 29, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education issued a notification in this regard.

According to the notification, the recommended candidates have been appointed on a temporary basis to the vacant post of Headmaster of Government Primary School (Untrained) Non-Cadre II Grade 12 in the pay scale of Tk.

The notification also states that after joining the service, one has to work as an apprentice for two years. If found ineligible during apprenticeship, they can be removed from service without assigning any reason. If the period of apprenticeship is considered satisfactory, the service will be fixed as per rules.

The notification said that the appointed teachers have to join the post by September 15. Otherwise the appointment order will be considered cancelled.
