2 security personnel were killed in a stabbing incident at a power plant in Banskhali

Two security personnel Sarwar Alam (51) and Rashed Jawardar (22) were killed by thieves at the coal-based power plant SS Power Plant in Chittagong's Banshkhali. Among them is an ex-serviceman.

On Monday (September 2), 2 youths came to steal power plant in Gandamara of Banskhali upazila early in the morning. When the security personnel stopped them, they stabbed and fled.

Later, when two security personnel were taken to Banshkhali Upazila Health Complex with serious injuries, the doctor on duty declared them dead.

Banskhali police station OC Tofail Ahmad confirmed the truth of the incident.

The deceased are retired army warrant officer Sarwar Alam son of Abdur Rahman of Talma village of Nagarkanda upazila of Faridpur district. Rashed Jawardar is the son of Abdur Razzak of Jawardar village of Pangsha upazila of Rajbari district.

Banskhali police station OC Tofail Ahmad said two security personnel were stabbed to death while preventing theft at the coal-based power plant SS Power Plant in Banskhali. Additional police have been deployed at the spot. Legal action is being taken in this incident.
