Metrorail will also run on Friday

Very soon metro rail service is going to start on Friday also. However, several officials of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) said that it will run after 3 pm. On Monday (September 2), they said, an announcement has not yet been made, but plans are in the works.

He said, “The matter has been discussed with the adviser. The date is yet to be determined. I will know if. But very soon we are going to launch.”

DMTCL sources said that the launch of Metrorail on Friday is confirmed, it will not take much time. Meanwhile, the station controller, train operator and other staff who will work, have been instructed to prepare a roster for duty.

Sources of DMTCL say that the metro rail will run from 3 pm to night on Friday as there are fewer passengers in the morning. The last train from Uttara North to Motijheel will leave at 8:33 PM and the last train from Motijheel to Uttara will leave at 9:13 PM.

In this regard, DMTCL Managing Director MAN Chiddik told online media Bangla Tribune, “We are working on that. Today we will visit. We need some more time. The whole system should be arranged on Friday. But we are working on the launch, that's all we can say for now.”
