After the worst flood of the century, the health risk has increased as the water receded in Feni's Chagalnaya. The prevalence of water borne diseases including diarrhoea, skin diseases, respiratory problems, pneumonia, fever has increased. Most of the victims are children and the elderly. Feni General Hospital authorities, the largest government medical center in the district, are struggling to provide medical services to patients who are almost 10 times more than capacity in the diarrhea ward.
