Former Navy Minister Shajahan Khan arrested from Dhanmondi

Awami League presidium member and former parliamentarian Shajahan Khan has been arrested. Shajahan Khan was once the shipping minister.

Dhaka Metropolitan Intelligence Police Joint Commissioner (North) Md. Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan confirmed this information to the media.

Rabiul Hossain said that Shajahan Khan was arrested from Dhanmondi area of ​​the capital on Thursday night.

Shajahan Khan was the Member of Parliament for Madaripur-2 Constituency. He was first elected as a member of the National Assembly from Madaripur-2 constituency in 1986 as an independent candidate. From the same seat, he was later elected Member of Parliament in the elections of 1991, 1996, 2001, 2008, 2014, 2018 and 2024 on the nomination of Bangladesh Awami League.

Shajahan Khan is the Executive President of Bangladesh Workers Federation.
