The debut of the National Citizen Committee is today

The National Citizen Committee will make its debut today as the leader of the anti-discrimination student movement.

This civic committee will be announced at the Central Shaheed Minar today Sunday (September 8) at 4:30 pm.

This information was given in a press release sent by the anti-discrimination student movement yesterday.

It is said in the circular, “The worst fascist ruler in the history of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, has fallen in exchange for the participation of the people of all levels of the country and the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs and injured under the leadership of the anti-discrimination student movement.” The goal of a new political settlement must be achieved by abolishing the fascist system in the second phase of the student uprising.'

It also says, 'Bangladesh has to be restructured to implement the new political language and community that the student uprising has presented. One of our objectives is to reach a new historical understanding through the exchange of views with various political parties and socio-cultural initiatives active in the society regarding the drafting of a new democratic constitution through the Constituent Assembly and organize the people of Bangladesh accordingly.

When asked about this, Ariful Islam, a member of the Liaison Committee of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said, 'The National Citizens Committee is being formed as a continuation of the desire and legacy of the mass uprising of the students. After the formation of the central committee, 64 districts and 12 metropolises of the country and then citizen committees will be formed at the police station level. This committee will work as a pressure group for the necessary reforms of the state in the abolition of the fascist system.

Meanwhile, the departmental and district level tour of the anti-discrimination student movement is starting from Sunday. During this visit, a coordinating team of the student movement will participate in an exchange meeting with the students who made the coup in each district. A press release informed that the exchange meeting will be held in Munshiganj on Sunday as the first district of the Dhaka divisional tour.
