During the anti-discrimination student movement, a case has been registered in the case of shooting and paralyzing a person named Ruhul Amin (39) in Kanchpur of Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj. Ruhul Amin filed the case on Monday morning (September 16) as a plaintiff in Sonargaon police station. It mentions the names of 179 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, actress Aruna Biswas and Rokeya Prachi.
The plaintiff in the case is a resident of Ladurchar village of Noagaon union of Ruhul Amin upazila.
Ruhul Amin stated in the statement of the case that the accused shot and injured him in connivance with each other during the anti-discrimination student movement in Kanchpur of Sonargaon on July 20. Because of this, he is currently in a crippled state.
The other accused in the case are former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud, Sheikh Hasina's younger sister Sheikh Rehena, Sheikh Hasina's son Sajib Wazed Joy, former Food Minister Advocate Kamrul Islam, DB chief Haroon Or Rashid, Narayanganj's Sonargaon and Rupganj Upazila Awami League leaders and activists including former parliament member Nazrul Islam Babu.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sonargaon police station MA Abdul Bari confirmed the case and said, 'The incident will be investigated and legal action will be taken.'
