To participate in the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet, the chief advisor of the interim government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus invited the heads of government of 13 countries including China, India, Pakistan.
A responsible official of the interim government confirmed this information on Saturday (February 14) night.
It has been reported that the interim government has decided to invite the heads of government of 13 countries based on discussions with the leadership of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP, the winning party in the 13th National Assembly elections.
According to diplomatic sources, the list of invited countries so far includes China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, India, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Malaysia, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan.
Incidentally, the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet is being organized at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier, the BNP-led coalition won more than two-thirds of the seats in the 13th National Assembly elections held on February 12.
On February 17, the elected members of the Thirteenth National Assembly will take oath. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasiruddin will take their oath that morning.
This information has been confirmed by the Office of the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, Ministry of Law and multiple sources of the BNP which will form the government.
