After a few days of calm, the border of Chowdhury Para of Hnila Union of Cox's Bazar Teknaf Upazila and Shahparirdwip of Sabrang Union was shaken again by the sound of shelling and heavy shelling in the conflict inside Myanmar. The sounds of the goals were heard at various times from Sunday night to today Monday (March 25) morning.

Locals are claiming that the ongoing conflict in Nakpura area north of Maungdoo city in Rakhine State and Dhankhali, Hasurata, Naikxyongdia, Garjandia and Sankshadabil areas in the east are the cause of these explosions.

Rashed Mohammad Ali, chairman of Hnila Union Parishad, said that the border situation was normal for a few days. From Sunday night to Monday morning, Tanah was shaken by the loud noise of heavy weapons. The common people are frightened by this.

Noor Mohammad Anwari, chairman of Huaikhong Union Parishad, said that in different areas of Huaikhong Union, heavy gunfire and explosions were heard from the other side of Myanmar. Those who were hunting fish in Nafnadi ran away in fear of their lives. The fear of fishermen is not over. The border was quiet for several days.

Panel Mayor Mujibur Rahman of Teknaf Municipality said that at least 13 villages including Jaliapara, Chowdhurypara, Kulalpara, Dailpara, Hungerdale of Teknaf Municipality were shaken by the loud mortar shell explosion at night. This spread panic among the people.

Mohammad Chiddiq, a toll collector at Shahparidwip Jetighat in Sabrang Union, said he heard several gunshots and heavy shelling from inside Myanmar during Seheri on Monday morning across the Naf River. Heard heavy mortar shell explosions since morning. Apart from this, occasional gunshots are still heard. The fishermen who go fishing in the Naf river are in fear.

BGB Teknaf 2 battalion commander Lt. Col. Mohiuddin Ahmed said, “Due to the conflict on the other side, sometimes the sound of gunshots is heard on the other side. However, the situation in Rakhine is closely monitored by the BGB. BGB patrols have been increased at Naf river and border especially to prevent infiltration.
