An incident of nitric acid leakage has occurred in the factory of Incepta Pharmaceuticals in Dhamrai, Dhaka. A total of five fire service units, including a chemical tender unit, are working to control the situation. The smoke spread panic in the surrounding area.

The incident took place at the drug manufacturing plant of Incepta Pharmaceuticals in Barbaria area of ​​Gangutia Union of the upazila at around 9 pm on Thursday (April 11).

However, no casualty occurred in this incident. The extent of the damage was not known initially.

According to the fire service, a drum of nitric acid fell in a building of Incepta Pharmaceuticals at night, causing huge smoke.

Station Officer of Dhamrai Fire Service Sohail Rana said, I came to the factory of Incepta Pharmaceuticals after receiving the news at night. where the nitric acid was kept. From there it falls. We did not give water, so that no accident would happen. There was no fire. But there was the issue of chemicals. A total of five units including three units from Dhamrai, one unit from Manikganj and a chemical tender unit from EPZ came there.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhamrai Police Station Sirajul Islam Sheikh said, the police went there after getting the information. Fire service also went there. work in progress Details can be given if our official informs.
