Health Minister Dr. Samant Lal Sen said, 'In addition to doctors in medical services, public representatives should be more aware. Just as I will not accept an attack on a doctor, I will not accept any form of medical negligence.'
He said these things in the chief guest's speech at a discussion meeting on doctors after visiting Comilla's Chandina Upazila Health Complex at 4:30 pm on Wednesday (April 17).
The Health Minister said that last Tuesday (April 16) expressed regret over the attack on doctors in Patia, Chittagong and advised the doctors to be more attentive and sincere in their medical work.
He said, “Just as I have the responsibility to protect the doctors, I also have the responsibility to protect the patients.” Strict action will be taken against any doctor if evidence of negligence in professional duty is found against him.
He also said that Bangladesh's medical services are ahead of many developed countries in the world. Recently King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan praised the medical services of Bangladesh. At the invitation of the King of Bhutan, the Bangladesh government has signed an agreement to build a burn hospital in Bhutan.
In response to a question about skin disease as a side effect after taking the corona vaccination discussed on social media, he said that any drug can have an allergic reaction. But I have not heard about this yet.
