Industry Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said that smart citizens are one of the elements of building a smart Bangladesh. Teachers are one of the architects of building smart citizens of tomorrow.
He said this in the speech of the chief guest at the foundation stone laying and reception ceremony of the administrative building of Panchkandi Degree College of Manohardi Upazila of Narsingdi on Wednesday (May 1).
The Minister said, under the efficient, strong and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we are gradually moving towards Smart Bangladesh from Digital Bangladesh. Teachers should come forward with honesty, devotion and sincerity to build a smart Bangladesh.
He also said that parents nurture us rightly but teachers help us build that life beautifully. It is through education that the intelligence and mindset of the students are developed. Therefore, the role of teachers is paramount in developing their talents.
President of Panchkandi Degree College Shilpapati Abdul Qadir Mollah presided over the reception and among others, Manohardi Upazila Executive Officer Hashiba Khan, Upazila Awami League Joint General Secretary Manjurul Majid Mahmud Sadi, Municipal Mayor Aminur Rashid Sujan, Manohardi Thana Officer-in-Charge Md. Abul Kashem Bhuiya, Gotashia Union Parishad Chairman Abul Barkat Robin and teachers and students of various educational institutions.
