A fisherman was killed by lightning in Kishoreganj

A fisherman named Enayet Ullah (24) was killed by lightning while fishing in Kishoreganj. Another fisherman named Liton Mia (42) was injured in this incident. The incident took place in Tarail upazila on Wednesday (September 4) at noon.

Enayet Ullah is the son of Bakul Mia of Kajla Madhyapara Bagarbaid area of ​​Damiha Union of Tarail Upazila. The injured Liton Mia is the son of Abdul Jabbar of the same area.

According to local and police station sources, on Wednesday morning, Enayet Ullah and Liton Mia went fishing with a boat in Kawra Bill of neighboring Digdair Union. When the rain started around 12:30 p.m., there was sudden lightning. Enayet and Lyton fall from the boat in the lightning. Later local people came and rescued them and took them to Karimganj Upazila Health Complex where the doctor declared Enayet Ullah dead. Apart from this, seriously injured Liton Mia has been sent to Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital.

Tarail Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mansoor Ali Arif confirmed the matter.
