A human chain program was held in Sherpur to protest the attack and vandalism of seven media outlets including New J 24 Television at the East West Media Complex in Dhaka and attacks on various media offices in the country, keeping the theme of 'no violence and conflict, we want independent media without discrimination'.

On Tuesday (August 20), media workers of all levels working in the district organized an hour-long human chain in front of Sherpur Press Club from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
