Abdul Hafeez is the Special Assistant to the Principal Adviser

The chief adviser of the interim government. Retired Lieutenant General Abdul Hafeez has been appointed as Special Assistant to Muhammad Yunus. The Cabinet Department has issued a notification in this regard on Thursday (August 22).

According to the notification, Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Aziz will provide necessary support to the Chief Adviser in carrying out his duties on defense and national integration development.

The notification further states that while holding the post of Special Assistant, he will be entitled to the rank, pay and perquisites of an adviser.

Three days after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government in the face of the August 5 movement, the journey of the interim government under the leadership of Muhammad Yunus began.
