About 55,000 Ansar members including battalions were supposed to be deployed in important installations across the country, but most of them did not join the work. DG Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Hossain said that the battalion members were not involved in the protest.
Although about 14,000 Ansars are deployed in the capital, there are currently about 10,000 in the field.
