Asif Nazrul said that Jamaat's ban has been cancelled

Interim Government Legal Adviser Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul said, Jamaat was banned for a special purpose at a special time. He said this to reporters at the secretariat on Wednesday (August 28).

Asif Nazrul said why Jamaat was not banned after 15 years in power. When the student revolution was going on, it wanted to brutally suppress the movement by branding it as a terrorist. Jamaat was banned as a strategy to unfairly defeat the student revolution.

He said, only if there is a case, the arrest will not be over-enthusiastic. I hope Shakib Al Hasan will not be arrested. Some cases of utmost importance will be disposed of quickly. There are many pending cases including the Sagar-Rooney case which will be disposed of quickly
